Thank you for choosing to book with Quinta da Abelheira. We look forward to welcoming you in our farm lodging. By making this booking we are entering a legal agreement between the two parties – “Azorean Bliss, Lda. and “Guest” from now on. “Azorean Bliss, Lda.” reserves the right to cancel, change or vary the terms and conditions hereby described at any moment without notice, but never regarding your stay. If that happens we will continue devoted to the items agreed upon when making your reservation. Please carefully read about our terms and conditions below.

Prices

• The price includes accommodation, breakfast, pillow menu and free bike service;
• Any other extras are part of an additional charge
• Vegetarians are welcome but we must know your requirements prior to arrival.

Booking Confirmation & Deposit:

• Currently we ask for a 30% deposit on reservation and a remaining payment in full is required on arrival;
• All bookings by email are confirmed by email;
• All bookings by phone are confirmed by email.

Cancellation of booking

• By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and you agree to our terms and conditions;
• Should your travel arrangements change you should inform us as soon as practicably possible to allow us to naturally reallocate the room(s);
• Notice of cancellation of booking: providing we have at least 30 days notice of cancellation, no payments will be due. However if you fail to notify us after this period, or in case of no-show, payment in full will become due;
• If you need to cancel the booking due to adverse weather conditions or exceptional family circumstances we are happy to transfer your booking to another date if at all possible should this be acceptable.

Payment

• In order to secure your room it is required 30% deposit on reservation, either by cash, wire bank transfer or by providing credit card information;
• We do not accept some credit cards, so in any doubt please kindly ask if your card is acceptable;
• We do not store credit card data in our online servers;
• All credit card transactions are secure and no data collected is offered to third parties for any or other reason;
• All transactions comply with the relevant legal requirements at the time of the transaction;
• All transactions are performed manually by our back office team.

Non-availability of Accommodation

• We would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control;
• We would however attempt to find you alternative accommodation;
• If we were unable to find suitable accommodation our liability would not extend beyond this point.

Acceptance of Children

• We welcome children of all ages;
• We can accommodate young babies by prior arrangement and free of charge – a highchair and a travel cot can be provided;
• However we do ask that you provide all your own bedding for the cot.

Pets

• Accessibility and guidance dogs for the blind and deaf can be brought to the hotel for free (please notify Quinta da Abelheira that you intend to bring one of these with you);
• We do not accept small pets (dogs, cats and other);

Check-in

• Your accommodation will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged;
• We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time;
• However, you may drop off your bags, pay for your stay and collect your room keys at an earlier time by prior arrangement.
• It is much appreciated if you will notify us of your estimated time of arrival on reservation, by phone or email on the day before.

Late arrival procedure

• Please ensure you contact to let us know if you will be arriving later than 8pm, and inform us of your new estimated time of arrival.

Check-out

• Please vacate your room no later than 12pm, unless otherwise arranged.

Rooms

• Eating take away meals in rooms is not allowed, as they can leave after smells and can cause staining if the food comes into contact with bedding, towels or carpets, etc;
• However, we do accept small meals, sandwiches and drinks outside.

Smoking

• In accordance with the “Portuguese Law for Tobacco and Smoking” there is a – no smoking policy – in force at Quinta da Abelheira;
• Smoking outside is acceptable (i.e.: garden);
• There is a fire alarm system in operation and if this is set off by guests smoking anywhere inside any of the structures, you will be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit any values paid, this is non-negotiable.

Damages and Breakages

• Please take care at your staying. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation, shared areas or its contents;
• Do report any incidents when they occur;
• We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Liability

• We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or friend, or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by Quinta da Abelheira or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Privacy Policy

• Personal data collected from our guests (name, address, phone number and email) during the course of the booking will be stored on our computer(s);
• With your permission we may, from time to time, contact you about promotions and offers;
• We will NEVER share your details with any third party whatsoever.

CONFLICT BETWEEN TEXT IN ENGLISH AND TEXT IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE

In the event of a conflict or discrepancy between the English text, these “Terms and Conditions” and any translation into other language, the English text shall ALWAYS prevail.
